Buddy Dale KY's story
Buddy Dale is a 9 year old male pure bred Boston Terrier. He weighed 41.9 pounds on Tuesday, August 28th when I picked him up.
He is a very laid back happy dog. He is even  tempered all the time. Buddy likes everyone he meets, all people and animals. He likes my cat, the dogs next door, people and dogs we meet when walking. When we go out, he is very friendly and loves for people to pet and love on him. I have no children in my home, but he is very friendly with children of all ages that we have come up to and he loves to play with the 8 year old next door.
Buddy loves to play with his squeaky toys and loves for you to throw his toys and he will bring them back to you. He loves to walk! Being a little over weight, we are starting out slow and on many little walks throughout the day, and he is building up his strength. He goes to my work office with me and sits quietly and loves to people watch.
He is house broken and crate trained. Have had no accidents in the house. Sleeps all night out of the cage with no problem. When he gets tired or just decides he needs quiet time on his own, he will go get in his cage (I keep the door open) or go in the other room and lay down on his own and re-energize. When he has to go to the bathroom, he will go sit by the door or come sit in front of me and look at me, letting me know he needs to go outside.
He is very loving and loves to give you kisses. He likes to lay on the couch or bed beside you, and will be in heaven sleeping beside you if you let him. He will lay beside you on the couch or chair, but only if you tell him its ok. He does not jump on the furniture by himself.
Buddy does not beg for people food. He eats his dog food well. He usually lets it sit for just a bit, then will go eat it. I feed him

a cup in the morning, and

a cup in the evening. I normally do not give him treats, watching his weight.
Buddy Snores and farts, but no more than any other Boston Terrier I have ever had, I think it comes with the breed.
Buddy will do well with other dogs or by himself. Buddy does well with cats also.
Buddy is crate trained and potty trained.
Buddy is kid friendly and people friendly.
Buddy is not food or toy aggressive.
Buddy is microchipped.

If you want to talk about me, please contact my foster family at the
Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee, Kentucky Region
Email me at: BTRETky@gmail.com and a foster momma or daddy will get back with you as soon as possible.
Keep in mind this is the general mailbox for the entire KY Region.
Please use the foster momma or dad's contact information above for questions.
The process always begins with an application which can be found at The Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee website
Note that in most cases, we do not adopt to families with small children, e.g., 'under 6,' as a precaution to the child's safety and the dog's safety. In some cases with larger Boston mixes or other dogs, we do make exceptions. Please ask the foster momma.
We prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to personally drive/fly to get the dog.  The East Coast division (NC/SC/VA/MD/DC) does have special transport capabilties for their kids.   Ask them.
Also, submission of an application and fee does not guarantee adoption of any specific Boston since that particular dog may have applications pending or may not be the right match for you.
