Derby Densmore NC Boston Terrier Adult Male for sale in Maryville, Tennessee

Derby Densmore NC's story
This is Derby Densmore. He is a purebred Boston terrier, about 22 lb, and is only 5 1/2 years old despite the grey over his eyes. This boy is happy, bouncy, and needs discipline to behave--if he has it, he's very obedient.  If he doesn't have that discipline, he will take charge and will be a problem child.   He needs an experienced Boston parent.

Derby is energetic to say the least. Loving, very affectionate, hearty and healthy.  Needs exercise and mental stimulation--walks are great, as long as discipline is maintained--walks are important mental exercise. He would love an active person who wants to take him on adventures, not set him on a pillow. He can be dog aggressive, but will listen if he believes in his boss.

Adopter must come to North Carolina where Derby is and meet with the trainer that has been working with him. A training session is included in the adoption and the trainer has to feel confident that the adopter will follow through with techniques taught at the session.

Derby Densmore is neutered, UTD on vaccines, microchipped and heart worm negative. For more info on Derby, call his buddy, Cindy, at .
The adoption fee will be $275.00 .

Please use the foster momma or dad's contact information above for questions.
The process always begins with an application which can be found at The Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee website
Note that in most cases, we do not adopt to families with small children, e.g., 'under 6,' as a precaution to the child's safety and the dog's safety. In some cases with larger Boston mixes or other dogs, we do make exceptions. Please ask the foster momma.
We prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to personally drive/fly to get the dog.  The East Coast division (NC/SC/VA/MD/DC) does have special transport capabilties for their kids.   Ask them.
Also, submission of an application and fee does not guarantee adoption of any specific Boston since that particular dog may have applications pending or may not be the right match for you.
