Dinki Gibson GA's story
Dinki Gibson is a 13yr. old Boston mix. Children say he is mixed with a gremlin because of his bent ear tips, fuzzy face & blue eyes. We believe he may be mixed with Pug which would make him a Bugg!
He is deaf but otherwise he doesnt act his age & doesnt seem to have any major problems. He and his sister, Gidget, came from a shelter in NC after their owner died and the family turned them in. He had a fluid-filled cyst on his rump and a 'cherry eye', but we had both of those removed.
Dinki is 22lbs. & walks on a leash but sometimes pulls when he thinks we should go in another direction. He is active when outside but  would rather be inside with his people. He is definitely food motivated & will let you know when its supper time. If you dont move fast enough he encourages you forward by barking.
He spends his days laying & sleeping in a dog bed but when night comes he is in the bedroom waiting to be put on the bed. He is partial to milk bones even though he has few teeth. He expects one every time he is crated.
Dinki is house-trained, crate-trained, neutered, microchipped, heart worm negative and  has had age-appropriate vaccinations.
To find out more about Dinki Gibson, call his foster mom, Gloria, at . He is currently living with his foster mom in the Augusta, GA, area. His adoption fee is  $225.
Please use the foster momma or dad's contact information above for questions.
The process always begins with an application which can be found at The Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee website
Note that in most cases, we do not adopt to families with small children, e.g., 'under 6,' as a precaution to the child's safety and the dog's safety. In some cases with larger Boston mixes or other dogs, we do make exceptions. Please ask the foster momma.
We prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to personally drive/fly to get the dog.  The East Coast division (NC/SC/VA/MD/DC) does have special transport capabilties for their kids.   Ask them.
Also, submission of an application and fee does not guarantee adoption of any specific Boston since that particular dog may have applications pending or may not be the right match for you.
