Oliver Cole SC's story
Oliver Cole is a dashing, tiny Boston boy that's about 7-years old and weighs a mere 13 pounds.  His owner was getting married soon, but Oliver and the future spouse didn't mesh, so he came to us.
Oliver is current on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative & on preventative.  He's crate and leash trained and has impeccable house manners.  He has always lived as the only pet in the home, and was a bit anxious around other Boston kids.  He can be 'overly friendly' with some dogs and will back off when corrected for his bad behavior.  But, some dogs may react immediately defensively towards these antics, so it's best if Oliver is the only pet in the home.  Oliver is now taking daily CBD oil for his anxiety, so this should be continued.
He was adopted for a few months and shortly afterwards grand kids were in the home most of the time.  Of course, children can be loud when playing, but this caused increased anxiety which resulted in a bite.  Because of Oliver's history, we will only place him in a home with no children to set him up for success.  When, or, if children come to visit the home, Oliver will need to be crated.
The first step is always an application found at:   We prefer homes with prior Boston Terrier experience and current pet history.  No homes with other pets or children.  If you have any questions please email:  btretn.rescuer@gmail.com
The adoption fee will be $275.00  Please be prepared to meet and adopt Oliver Aiken, SC (near Augusta) as we don't ship our kids.  Give this handsome little guy a 2nd chance for a home, he's a good boy.

NOTE:  Submission of an application and fee does not guarantee adoption of any specific Boston, since that particular dog may have applications pending or may not be the right match for you.
Please use the foster momma or dad's contact information above for questions.
The process always begins with an application which can be found at The Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee website
Note that in most cases, we do not adopt to families with small children, e.g., 'under 6,' as a precaution to the child's safety and the dog's safety. In some cases with larger Boston mixes or other dogs, we do make exceptions. Please ask the foster momma.
We prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to personally drive/fly to get the dog.  The East Coast division (NC/SC/VA/MD/DC) does have special transport capabilties for their kids.   Ask them.
Also, submission of an application and fee does not guarantee adoption of any specific Boston since that particular dog may have applications pending or may not be the right match for you.
